We recetnly went to Minden, La so Chad could play with his dad in the Annual Minden Charity Classic at his country club.  His mom and I actually get to participate since they have a dinner and auction the Friday night before the tournament.  Here we are at the dinner/auction .....and you know how I love a good auctioneer!

After everyone was finished playing, we had to have to pool time at Miss Carol's house.  Of course the triplets and their little sister Avery are what make the pool the happenin' place to be.  The girls were trying to sink Chad in his raft, but were unsuccessful.  Aren't they just the cutest?!?!!

Summer Fun

On our actual anniversary, Chad and I went to an outdoor concert at a park just down the street from our house.  The Dallas Symphony Orchestra had a concert filled with "patriotic music" and there was a fireworks show afterward.  Just a pic from the evening.

Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler!

The Annual Canterbury Crawfish Boil always draws friends from near and far...and those that "claim" they don't eat crawfish!!  This year was no exception.  We had a great group of 20 gathered for the feast and couldn't have had a better time.

Chad's cousin Jason and his wife Katherine. We are all waiting to dig in.

The "I don't eat crawfish" club.  Thanks for coming out and trying it this year.

Mr. Brady nad his cut cheeks.  He had to take off a layer due to the heat.

Enjoying a cold drink

Kamryn and Kaleigh enjoying their happy meals!

Bundts are the Best

So we started my b-day by heading out to The Colonial Golf Tournament in Ft. Worth.  This is always a fun event, but seeing as David Toms was playing, I knew Chad would be pretty interested in the golf so I brought reinforcements-Katie.  We decided to get some cute hats and dress up for the hot day we were about to subject ourselves to.  The saving grace of the day was that we had Clubhouse passes....A/C...nice bathrooms....a decent lunch at a real table.  It was a great day and there was a "Pink Out" on Sunday for Phil Mickelson's wife who has breast cancer, so I tied a pink scarf around my hat in support....thanks for the tickets David (and Adam)!!

After the tourney, Chad and I took a nap and went out for dinner.  Here we are eating some good mexican food.  I looooove cheese!

After dinner, Chad suprised me with a "Nothing Bundt Cakes" birthday bundt. This is the cuuuuuutest bakery that just opened up across the street from my office. They make bundt-tini's (cupcake size), bundtlets (pictured) and an 8" and 12" bundt cakes.....how fun is that!! Anywho....thanks Chad-I had a great day!

Triple the Fun

We recently went to Bossier City on our way back from Lafayette and had three-actually four small visitors.  Chad's friend Adam has 4 year old triplet girls and a 2 year old little girl.  hey may look tiny, but they have the most energy I have ever seen out of 4 year olds.  We went swimming at Chad's parents and everyone had a great time.

A trip to Miss Carol's house wouldn't be complete without feeding the koi fish in her pond

I'll Take a Cosmo Please

I have to admit that I was never a faithful watcher of Sex and the City and did not see the first movie.  However, I have some friends that planned a girls night for the S&TC 2 premiere and so I had to join in.  My good friend Jodi organized the theatre, time to get there and even arranged a screening of the first S&TC movie for those of us that are not loyal SJP followers.  Thanks Gretchen for hosting and Jodi for organzing 10 crazy girls!!

Screening Party at Gretchen's

Waiting to see the movie-Cosmos in hand!

Everyone loved it!!

Tick, Tick, Tick

So last Tuesday was a sad day in the Canterbury household....the show that I am completely obsessed with, 24, went off the air.  How in macaroni could you take Jack Bauer off the air?  Don't you people at Fox know that he is the ONLY person that can thwart a terroist attack, all while shooting the bad guys outnumbered 10 to 1...which a knife wound and a GSW???  I mean, come on!  Chad and I weren't the only ones sadened by this occassion, so Adam and Angela came over to help us say goodbye.  We all took shots of Jack Daniels in honor of...well you get the picture.

The sad, sad moment

But don't fear my fellow 24 enthusiasts, (spoiler alert) Jack lived through the show.  My conspiracy theory is that they will soon make a 24 movie....and guess who will be first in line!

Finally!!

Chad's good buddy Brent is finally engaged.  He and Ainsley had a wonderful engagment party in Lafayette last weekend that brought out all of Chad's old college buddies.  We went dancing after the party and then on to the after-the-after-party at the Hyde's house.  Congrats to Brent and Ainsley!

They guys all dressed up

Goef was flying solo that night, so he was trying to move in on my man!

The ladies

The Happy Couples

Not sure if Brandon will make it home after all this dancing!

No photos from Hyde's house posted here....we will use them as blackmale at a later date!
