Two Years and Counting

It's hard to believe that I have been Mrs. Canterbury for 2 years now.  I am as happy today as I was when I said "I Do".  I can still remember that day.... I arrived at The Tribute with "my girls" for hair, makeup, lunch and mimosas.  I was calm all day, not even checking out the ballroom or the entry area after the decorations were in place.  It didn't even cross my mind to go downstairs to see how the room was set up or anything.  The time finally arrived to put on my dress and have one last chat with my dad.  When the doors opened and I stepped outside to meet my future husband, I was amazed at how gorgeous the weather was.  I tried not to look at my mom while I was walking down the isle-knowing I would start to tear up if I did.  I finally reached Chad and my day was complete.  I was the happiest girl that day and have never looked back. 

More Fun at the Arboretum

I just looove these outdoor concerts and can't get enough.  We usually go to a concert each year with our good friends the Streffs.  This year Chad got tied up at work so I was the third wheel....or the fifth wheel.  We had a great time eating dinner and listing to the music.  Kella got a wild streak and started dancing and running around like a crazy person.  We had a great time and what great weather!!

So I pull up to the store to buy some "spirits" and this was parked next to me!  I couldn't belive how real this looked so I took a pic....thinking it was fake.  He just looks soooo serious.  Shortly after, the owner came stumbling out of the store and told the dog to "scoot over, you're not driving this time."  Only in Dallas my friends!

Mom's weekend

My mom has visited me on my b-day every year, no matter what college I was at, no matter what city I lived in my mom has always taken a week of vacation to pay me a visit, shop, and this year go to the Spa!!

We started off the weekend at Uncle Julio's who has THE best fajitas in Dallas.  We got an unbelievably large pepper with our fajitas so I had to take a photo.



We spent the day shopping and at an outdoor concert near downtown.  My friend Katie's parents were in town too, so we all met up at the concert.  

We ended the weekend at the spa to get massages and facials.  It was a great weekend-thanks for making the trip to see me mom!!

Ahhhh....Patio Time!

I love, love, love being outside. Sooooo, when the weather cooperates and I can eat dinner on a patio, I'm in Heaven!  The Stoneleigh P has a great patio in Dallas and a few friends and I got together to enjoy the wonderful Dallas weather.....which won't last long.

Rubber Duckie You're the One!

Rubber duckies and more rubber duckies!  My friend Becky is pregnant with a (no name) boy, so she is agrivateing all of us because we can't get anything personalized.  We recently had a "sprinkle" to celebrate the no name baby boy who will be here in June!

Lazy Day

Chad had an event in Tyler over the weekend, so he left the house around 6:00 am to get there.  Needless to say he was worn out when he got home.  Here he is enjoying his favorite summer spot.  No, we don't usually have it on the patio, but after putting it together he couldn't wait to get in a take a nap on such a beautiful afternoon.

The Kildares

 Chad and I live very close to the Dallas Arboretum, which is located right next toWhite Rock lake. They have two summer concert series called "Cool Thursdays" and "Twilight Tuesdays" that we always try to make it to. We went to see a friend's band, The Kildares, that night and had a wonderful time. The Arboretum is a great venue-a large outdoor ampitheatre, sitting on lawn with your blanket, bringing your own picnic basket full of yummy food and drinks and enjoying the nice Dallas weather-unitl July!! Also, the arboretum is such a wonderful place to visit next time you are in town.

Lovely White Rock Lake. You can't see it in the photo, but people in small sailboats and katamarans will pull up to the bank to listen to the music every week.
