Off to the islands

By blog will be idle for a bit....Chad and I are leaving on Saturday to visit some

 friends in Hawaii for 9 days!!  I promise to post lots of pics when we return.

A friend's firm recently had suite tickets to the Dallas Stars game.

resaurant. When the "Who Dat" nation (and former Sooner!)

kicked the winning field goal the place went wild.

Belated Santa

With the changing of Christams routines and travel this year,

we were not able to spend the holidays with Chad's cousin Jason,
his wife Katherine and their girls Kaleigh (5) and Kamryn (3)..

They live in Allen, just north of Dallas, so getting together after

the holidays was a piece of cake.

We decided it would

be fun for the girls to make thier own dessert after dinner,

so we threw down a towel on the coffee table and they went to work.

We ended the eveing with a good,

clean game of Operation....or so I thought.

If you haven't played this game since the early 80's,

boy how it has changed.

You don't remove actual body parts anymore,

you remove snot from his nose, his "bird" brain,

and many others that are a little off the wall.

The PJ's were on so we had to say good night.

Well, here I am hosting another Fondue Party.

Chad and I have not seen Katie and Michael as a couple

in months (Katie is my workout buddy so I see her often).

So what better way to get together than with

a nice spread of my favorites!!

I know it looks like I just stepped off the ski slopes, but I got

a few new scarfs and am still trying to figure out how they look best!!

We went to White Rock Cafe to watch our friend Tiffany's husband Casey

play an acoustic set. It was a fun night....I am now addicted to green tea!

Did someone say Fondue?

We had a few couple friends over for fondue last weekend. Fondue is my favorite food group....just ask anyone. It involves cheese (YUM!!), fried foods, and chocolate. What's not to like right?

We spent New Year's with our friends, the newly engaged Brent and Ainsely. They live in Houston so we met in Austin where we went to dinner at Moonshine (YUM!!!) and back to a friend's condo to watch the fireworks downtown from the rooftop. We had a blast!!
