The Flavors of Kailua

After a day at the beach, we did what anyone would do.  We had lunch and then had a partake in a Hawaiian favorite....the snowcone.

Heaven on Earth

Lanikai Beach means "Heavenly Sea" in the Hawaiian language. 

That is exactly what you will find when you visit. 
This is our favorite beach on Oahu. 

With Susan and Kevin working and Trent at school,
we had the day to soak up some sun.

The entrance to the beach is through two houses along a narrow walkway. 

You would miss it if you didn't know it was there.

We continued family day with the Ihle's at Susan's son's Tae-Kwon-Do perentation.  Alaka'i was going for his thrid degree black belt, so I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley!! 

He had to break boards with his hands and feet. He was also the ONLY one at the presentation to break 4 bricks, yes 4 bricks, with his bare hands-OUCH!!

We had a wonderful visit to Oahu, Hawaii to see Chad's friend Kevin and his family.  Kevin's son Mr. Trent didn't waste any time; as soon as we got there he got his baseball glove and wanted Chad to play catch.  We were excited to see Mr. Trent in action the next day with his team.....the Tigers.

Off to the islands

By blog will be idle for a bit....Chad and I are leaving on Saturday to visit some

 friends in Hawaii for 9 days!!  I promise to post lots of pics when we return.
